Casino Cruise Rewards, Line by Line

Casino cruise rewards work much like casino programs on land: you use a card when you play, the casino records your play, and offers follow — often for future cruises. Here are the main programs and the land partnerships that connect them, as the companies describe them.

Play responsibly. Gamble only what you can afford to lose. Casino offers are a by-product of play, never a reason to play more. If gambling stops being fun, the National Council on Problem Gambling offers confidential help.

Other lines, including Princess and MSC Cruises, run their own casino programs on board; the casino host on your ship can explain how play is tracked.

Land Casino Programs With Cruise Partners

  • Caesars Rewards and Norwegian Cruise Line. Caesars Rewards’ Norwegian Cruise Line page names Norwegian as its cruise partner, with savings that depend on tier, savings on Regent and Oceania for some tiers, and an annual voyage benefit for the top tiers.
  • MGM Rewards with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The companies have a partnership that links casino play and benefits. Check current terms with MGM Rewards and the lines.
  • MSC Cruises. MSC has announced partnerships with land casino programs, including Wynn Rewards and Mohegan Sun, in trade press.

Getting the Most From a Casino Program

  • Always use your players card, at tables and machines, so play is recorded.
  • Ask the casino host how play is evaluated and when offers are issued.
  • Keep win/loss statements; lines that offer them make them available after the cruise.
  • Compare an offer with a cash quote; a discounted balcony may cost more than a fare sale on an inside cabin.
  • Remember that line loyalty and casino status are separate; Frequent Cruiser Program covers the loyalty side.

Casino Cruise Rewards: Questions

Do I have to gamble a lot to get casino cruise offers?

Offers are based on recorded play, and each program sets its own levels. Casual players may receive occasional offers; larger, regular play tends to bring more.

Are casino cruise offers really free?

A complimentary or discounted cabin usually still leaves taxes, port fees, gratuities and sometimes a deposit to pay. Read the offer terms.

Can I use a land casino card to get cruise perks?

Some land programs partner with cruise lines, and some lines run status-match programs for casino players. Each sets its own eligibility.

Have a Casino Offer? Price the Rest

Casino offers cover the cabin, not always the whole trip. Our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise can quote flights, hotels and insurance around it, or a cash fare to compare.
